Analysis
We support employers in analyzing compensation structures and job classes under Quebec’s pay equity requirements — building a clear picture of where the organization stands and what work the plan and process require.
Affichage / posting of results
We help employers prepare and manage the affichage / posting of results for the initial pay equity exercise and for maintenance — so required information is communicated clearly. Specific posting timelines are set by CNESST rules and counsel; this page does not invent day-count deadlines.
Maintenance
Pay equity is not a one-time exercise. We provide maintenance consulting so plans and processes stay current as jobs, pay structures, and organizational changes evolve.
DEMES support
We help employers prepare and organize the information needed for their DEMES (Déclaration de l’employeur en matière d’équité salariale — the employer declaration to CNESST).
The employer remains responsible for producing and filing the declaration. HCI provides practical consulting support — we are not the employer’s filer or attestor.
CNESST verification & audit readiness
We assist with CNESST verification and audit readiness (programme de vérification / related inquiries) — helping employers prepare documentation and response materials, and strengthen plan quality in a consulting frame. This is not a substitute for legal counsel or CNESST determinations, and HCI does not conduct regulatory audits on CNESST’s behalf.
How we work
Engagements are scoped to the employer’s situation — union and non-union environments, plan development and updates, and practical guidance through analysis, affichage / posting, maintenance, DEMES support, and CNESST verification readiness.
